Happy Holidays

I have been so bad at blogging lately and I apologize. My vinyl business is so busy right now and so all I seem to do is take care of the kids and home and then work when I am not doing that. We are so blessed though to be so busy especially in this economy. I promise to post photos soon. Lots have happened since the last post. The primary program was great. We survived even though it was only the second week in that calling. We went to Reno in November for two craft boutiques and had a great time selling our vinyl and seeing all of our friends. When we got home however we all got sick with head colds except for Brandon who got the stomach flu. We spent Thanksgiving at home because of sickness, but overall had a very good day spending time together. Now that December is here it seems like we are always on the go. The shopping is done thank goodness, but now we have parties to attend and more work to do. I do love this time of year though because it gives us time to reflect on the past year and also think about the Savior, our greatest gift. We hope that you all have a great holiday and that you keep tuning in to our blog and see what else we will be up to in 2009.

Primary Program

For all of you who don't know I was just made the first counselor in the Primary organization at our church. Well tomorrow is the primary program where the kids sing all the songs they have learned this year and they have all written there own parts. I am nervous because we are a new presidency of only three weeks and we have to pull this off tomorrow. So wish us luck. I will let you know how it goes.

Trick or Treat

Here are pictures from Halloween night. We went and hung out with my aunts and cousins. We had yummy taco soup which is our family tradition and then went trick or treating. The boys had a long day and got so much candy for mommy to eat. HeHeHe!!!!

Carving Pumpkins

We carved our pumpkins on Thursday night. The boys did not like sticking their hands in the gooey stuff. They had a fun time though hammering the cookie cutters into the pumpkins to make their design.

Halloween Costumes

Tonight at Roberts Craft Store they were doing projects for the kids and they could dress up and trick or treat. We went and the boys had a great time. They made magic wands, spiders and a Frankenstein. Here are pictures of what they are going to be for Halloween. They thought that it would also be funny to put bunny ears on each other and that is what they are doing in the first picture.

Soccer

These are pictures from todays soccer game. We won 4-2. Yeah!

The Jazz Game

Tonight the boys were watching the Jazz with Bob. Brandon decided to keep his own score sheet. He would come into the office to update me with the score and tell me the "Bad Guys" were winning. His brain is always thinking and he is always amazing me with how well he knows his letter and numbers. He was mad that the Jazz lost and said next time they better win. Bob told him it was ok because it is only the pre-season. In the pictures the left side is the Jazz scores and the right side is the "Bad Guys" scores.

The last birthday party

Sunday was the last of the boy's three birthday parties. We had the Heywood clan come over for cake and ice cream. The boys and cousins had a good time and it was a great way to end their birthday week.

Who let the snow out

On Sunday morning this is what we woke up to. Brandon was funny and asked who let the snow out. It did not last long and we are back to nice spring weather. The forecast looks like it will be changing soon though and I am sure that we will have another snowy day some time soon.

Pumpkin Patch

Tonight for Family Home Evening we went and picked out our pumpkins. There were so many to choose from. It is a difficult process you know to pick that perfect pumpkin, especially for a 29 year old.(I mean two five year olds) We all had a great time and came home with great pumpkins for carving.

Family Parties

On Sunday we had a very special party. My Great Grandpa Heywood would of been 100 years old last month. So to celebrate we got together with 4 of their 5 kids and lots of cousins. They boys had a great time playing with all the cousins. It was a great time talking and remembering Great Grandpa and Grandma Heywood. I was trying to figure out how many generations were there and if I did it right there were four. So it goes my grandpa, my mom, me and the boys. How cool is that. Here are some pics. The group picture is only half of the people that were there that night. Iszach just wanted his picture on my blog. Hi Iszach!

Soccer

Yeah!! It's soccer time agian. I love indoor soccer. It's warm and dry and the boys get really tired. We won the game 3-2 and the boys each made a goal. Here are some pictures. The last picture is of Benjamin's goal.

Future Missionaries

Last Sunday at church our primary kids sang Called to Serve with the priesthood. It was so awesome. The kids totally out sang the guys. You couldn't help but think that they were our future missionaries. It just gave me goose bumps and I don't think that there was a dry eye in the audience. The day before we went and bought new ties and belts so that they would look like missionaries. What do you think? Aren't they handsome?

Blasted Bubble Gum 2

Today we thought that we would give bubble gum one more try at our house. Well that was a big mistake. This time it was not as bad however. I just had to wash gum off of Benjamin's hands for about five minuets. I tell you the stuff is pure evil.

I'm an Aunt

I would like to introduce you to my new nephew Matthew Joseph Benson. He was born on Thursday weighing in at 8 lbs 13 oz. He is so cute. We are glad that his has joined our family.

Blasted Bubble Gum

I walked in the door tonight and this is what I found. Gum stuck on Brandon's neck, in his neck hair. When asked why would you do such a thing his reply was I thought it would be fun. He took his gum and tried to wrap it around his neck. Little did he know that it would get stuck to his little neck hairs. Now I know you must be thinking why are they chewing gum in the first place. Well, they have been chewing gum for almost a year and we have been over the rules and believe it or not this is our first gum incident. Well we tried ice to get it out and that did not work. Then we tried olive oil because that is what the Internet said to do. It did not work so well on little hairs. By this time Brandon is screaming and asking me why I keep hurting him. Like it is my fault that HE got gum in HIS hair. So I then went to my original plan. Scissors and a razor and it worked. His neck is now gum free and he is also gum free. By that I mean grounded from gum until further notice. I tell you there is never a dull moment at our house.

piano lessons

The boys are taking piano lessons one Wednesdays with Ms. Rosanne. It is called little mozart and it is a mix of song, dance and piano. They are having a good time and picking it up quickly. Here are some pictures from todays lessons.

Field Trip

Today we went to the Wentworth and the Stratford. They are the assisted living centers in our neighborhood. The boys went for a fieldtrip and they sang four songs to the Grandpas and Grandmas. They did a great job and the residents at the care centers were very happy to have them there.
