End of Summer

Summer is coming to a close and we are counting down the days until the boys start Kindergarten. We did some fun things this summer and here are some pictures. They are not in chronological order because I am still learning how to use Blogger. Hope you all had a great summer too.

Rachel's 30th birthday party. Yes that is right I turned the big 30 and so I threw myself a pool party. The kids had a great time and the adults had a great time talking. Brandon was in the pool that day for 4 hours.

Sandy City has an annual hot air balloon show every August. We woke up at 5:30am and went to the park. We got there a little early so we got to see it all. It was very neat but next year we will not go so early. Brandon had a favorite balloon and when we got home he was delighted when he saw it fly over our house and land at the school. He said it was the best day ever.

The boys and I rolled are change one day and we decided that we would use that money to have a little fun this summer. We spent the day at Boondocks. It was the first time that we had ever gone miniature golfing as a family. They had a great time. We also did the go carts and played laser tag. It was a fun staycation.

We went to the South Towne expo center to look at all the floats before they were in the days of 47 parade. The boys voted for their favorites. The floats were so cool. People sure put a lot of hard work into building them.

Draper days is a family tradition in our family. This year was the first time we were not in the parade. It was nice to be able to sit and enjoy it. The boys got sooooo much candy.

Fourth of July was filled with lots of fireworks, watching and lighting them, and yummy root beer floats. It was a great night and a great time to remember how lucky we are to live in this great country.
